This year, the Physical Education Department organized a unique activity conducted in English, combining basketball training with language learning. Secondary 1 and 2 basketball team members participated in this innovative program, where they learned basketball-specific terminology in English (e.g., pick and roll, free throw, rebound) while enhancing their practical skills on the court.
The activity focused on helping students apply English effectively in sports contexts, emphasizing basketball strategies, team communication, and collaborative efficiency. By integrating language learning into physical training, students developed confidence in using English naturally during gameplay, broadening their perspectives and preparing them for future international sports exchanges.
This interdisciplinary approach not only improved students’ technical and linguistic abilities but also inspired their interest in learning through real-life applications. The activity showcased how sports and education can work hand in hand to foster well-rounded development and lifelong skills.
