On 26 May 2026, four student English Ambassadors from Buddhist Ho Nam Kam College—Nana Lam, Asher Ho, Tony Li, and Patrick Zhen—recorded an episode for RTHK Radio 3’s “In the Common Room”, focusing on the theme of “National Identity”.
During the session, the students shared insights on China’s development and culture:
• Technology & Commerce: Patrick and Tony discussed China’s evolution from ancient inventions to modern AI and EVs, alongside the global impact of brands like BYD.
• Culture & Sports: Nana and Asher celebrated the nation’s rich cultural diversity and the pride inspired by athletes like Eileen Gu.
Through this experience, students developed research, collaboration, scriptwriting, and English-speaking skills while gaining a deeper understanding of the topic they were presenting. The broadcast also gave them a valuable opportunity to represent the school, build confidence, and learn how to communicate clearly under real recording conditions.
This was a memorable and meaningful experience for everyone involved, and the school is proud of the students’ effort and enthusiasm. The programme is expected to be on air next school year, and the school community looks forward to hearing the broadcast. Stay tuned!
