In the afternoon of our second half of Global Day, a group of energetic teachers from all over the global took part in a lively cross-cultural exchange called “Speaking for All” initiative. Our F.2 students had the rare chance to converse directly with international guest teachers hailing from Indonesia, Germany, Pakistan, and Myanmar, just to name a few!
During the session, students learned firsthand about where our guest teachers are from, diving into their native languages, diverse cultural backgrounds, and the iconic traditions and landmarks that represent their home countries. The energy in the room reached a peak as students teamed up to compete in a series of interactive group games, putting their communication skills to the test until one team proudly emerged as the winner!
The true success of the afternoon was watching our students’ confidence soar. By stepping away from traditional academic exercises, they discovered that spoken English is a vibrant bridge connecting them to the rest of the world. It was a fantastic reminder that effective language learning is about connection, empathy, and the courage to share your voice.
