No Passports Required: Unlocking the World on ‘Global Day’

分享:

The school campus buzzed with energy on June 25th, 2026, as our school celebrated ‘Global Day’, transforming the grounds into a vibrant mosaic of cultures. This event provided students with a unique opportunity to step outside their daily routines and experience rich global traditions.

The morning kicked off with an array of exciting activities. Students explored artistic rhythms through Hawaiian ukulele sessions—an instrument originally adapted from Portuguese immigrants—and painting boomerangs, the iconic tools of Indigenous Australians. Precision was tested with the Kendama, a traditional Japanese skill toy, while others channeled their energy into dynamic K-pop dance routines. Elegant calligraphy workshops offered a creative outlet, and a thrilling ‘Global Day English Quiz Show’ tested student participants on their knowledge

The excitement then transitioned to the stage. We welcomed performers who delivered a captivating play called “World Cultures and Beyond”. Their interactive performance masterfully highlighted the beauty of cultural diversity, leaving students with a powerful message about inclusion and being open-minded about our world!

At the end of the day, Global Day was a resounding success! The festivities truly broadened our students’ horizons, fostering a deeper appreciation for global citizenship and proving that our shared curiosity brings us all closer together. See you again next year!
