全校語文政策：

本校以中文為主要教學語言，為提高同學英文水準，除聘有外藉英語教師，中一至六採用小班制教授英文，另有11科設置英語課後英語延展活動，亦會安排成績優異生參加國際英語考試，如Cambridge English，TOEIC，IELTS。

學習和教學策略：

1.　推行適異教學，照顧不同能力學生。
2.　善用資訊科技，實踐不同教學法。
3.　推行BYOD，鼓勵學生善用資源學習。
4.　安排課後及拔尖功課輔導班。
5.　按能力分組，做好課程規劃。

校本課程：

1.　選修科目：3X及4X。 學校設有系統及周全的校本價值教育課程，培養學生正確的人生價值。
2.　課程重點：初中：提倡「適異教學」，透過小組學習及分層課業照顧不同能力學生，並協助同學建立清晰升學目標。

高中：
・提供文、理、商及職專多元科目，配合中五轉修及中六退修「多重活門」，讓學生因應個人能力作最適切選擇。
・讓有能力學生修讀4科選修科。
・開設綜合藝術課程（IAE），豐富學生不同學習元素的經歷。
・開辦日語課程，目標是令學生有能力報考當地官方考試，擴闊學生多元出路。

學校課程主要更新重點：

1.　德育及公民教育：學校重視學生內在素質的培養，特設佛化及價值教育組，有策略地透過班主任課、佛學課、各學科及學術雙周，為各級學生設計不同活動及價值教育課程。
2.　從閱讀中學習：全校透過閱讀節、閱讀頻道　及「學術雙周」推行不同主題的跨科閱讀，同時，每年舉行不同形式的書展、讀書分享活動及作家講座等，推展全校閱讀文化。
3.　專題研習：每科課程均包涵專題研習元素，讓學生對學習內容更深入探究，並藉此培養群體協作的習慣。
4.　運用資訊科技進行互動學習：全校推行BYOD政策，各科均善用資訊科技融入學習，提升教學效能。

測考及學習調適措施：

每學年設2次統一測驗及2次考試，亦通過日常課業習作、小測及專題報告等，評估學生學習進度（學校會為有特殊學習需要學生提供適切測考調適安排）。

 

Whole-school Language Policy:

In spite of adopting Chinese as our teaching medium, we hire a full-time NET. Besides, we arrange extended learning activities (ELA) in English in 11 subjects
and small English learning groups in all class levels. We also encourage students to sit for international English assessments such as Cambridge English,
TOEIC and IELTS.

Learning and Teaching Strategies:

1. Emphasis on the use of Differentiated Instruction in teaching.

3. Adopting BYOD scheme to encourage students to make use of resources for learning.
4. Schedule after-school tutorial classes and elite enhancement classes.

8. Creating the “Multi-Dimensional Counselling Strategy” which aims to help students from different perspectives.

School-based curriculum:

1. Electives: 3X and 4X. The school has a systematic and complete school ethics curriculum to foster students with the right life values.
2. Curriculum highlights: Junior Forms: During the Junior Secondary stage, we promote differentiated instruction. Through group work and tiered homework to cater to students of different abilities, and to help students develop a clear study goal.

Senior Forms:Electives:3X. Providing subjects in the Arts, Business, Science and Applied Learning, with S5 subject changing arrangements and S6 subject
dropping arrangements to allow students to make the right choice for themselves regarding their own abilities.
– Competent students can opt for 4 electives.
– Enrich learning experience by offering Integrated Art Education (IAE) courses.
– Offer Japanese course for capable students to sit the official exam and explore to multiple pathways.

Major Renewed Emphases in the School Curriculum:

1. Moral and Civic Education
Our School emphasizes students’ development of their character. We set up a Buddhism and Moral Values Team to systematically design different events and moral education lessons through form teacher periods, Buddhism Lessons, different subjects and education weeks.

2. Reading to Learn
The school has arranged reading periods, reading channel and Academic Week to promote cross-subject reading with different themes.
At the same time, many book exhibitions, book sharing sessions and author talks are held each year to promote the reading culture in school.

3. Project Learning
Every Subject curriculum covers a wide variety of project learning elements, allowing students to further discover in their studies, so that a habit of
cooperation could be cultivated

4. Information Technology
We have a school-wide BYOD policy. Each subject can utilize technology with learning to increase their teaching proficiency.

Measures to provide adaptation for learning and assessment:

Our school conducts two uniform tests and two end-of-term examinations annually, Continuous assessments have also been adopted to evaluate students’
learning progress through daily assignments, quizzes, projects, etc.
